Mr Curious had raved about this chirashi place on the Gold Coast that he had been to many years ago, with an up coming trip to the Gold Coast I used the power of Google to find out if it still existed. The place he raved about is Animoto, in Surfers Paradise.
On to the chirashi, as a chirashi lover this was a pretty good stand out. If they had Animoto here in Melbourne, it would be on high rotation. Filled with a variety of salmon, salmon roe, sea urchin, tuna and plenty of other fish, it sits on top of well seasoned rice.
We didn't manage to try anything else as Mr Curious raved about the chirashi, and chirashi we were going to eat. With plenty of other items on the menu at very reasonable prices, if you're ever head to Surfers Paradise see if you can pop by.
